In Memory of Bertil Kenneth Larm

Bertil Kenneth Larm graduated from Central High School in 1946, from Grand Rapids Junior College in 1948, and received his engineering degree from Michigan Tech in 1950. He then served two years in the United States Army with time mostly spent in Germany. Ken was a friend and supporter of the Foundation for many years. He has supported the Fund for Community Good since 2003 and later created a named fund to support the work of the Community Foundation. In a 2008 interview with the Community Foundation, Ken stated, "I feel that giving back to the community is the right thing to do. I see it as doing my part to strengthen and improve the quality of life here...giving back what the community has given me." Ken was a great friend to the foundation and we enjoyed seeing him when he attended various Community Foundation events. He will be truly missed and we are honored to accept donations supporting the B. Kenneth Larm Fund for Community Good in his memory.
