Kate and Olivia Veldink

Kate and Olivia Veldink were active and energetic Jenison Public Schools students who inspired everyone they encountered. Their positive spirit and tenacity allowed them to overcome numerous challenges caused by Ataxia Telangiectasia. Kate died in May of 2021 and Olivia died in November of 2014. Their family and friends miss them very much. To honor their memory and legacy, a scholarship has been established in their name. The Katherine and Olivia Veldink Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a student that has overcome profound challenges and obstacles to graduate Jenison High School.
